JOB DESCRIPTION

  You'll have product line management responsibilities for client's industry-leading broadband 4G/LTE transceiver solutions. This role will entail extensive direct customer interaction to drive product requirements and refine product features in order to increase market share. The successful candidate will need detailed knowledge of cellular-based broadband wireless technologies such as WiMAX and/or 4G/LTE. Because client is a global supplier, the successful candidate will understand the global wireless carrier landscape and their individual strategies for 4G/LTE wireless deployment including preferred vendors and operating frequencies. Moreover, advanced knowledge of RF transceiver and power amplifier architectures is essential to ensure client's remote radio head solutions continue to meet the needs of the market as 4G/LTE networks are deployed globally.

You will lead responses to RFIs, RFPs and RFQs as well as be the internal champion for customer specific feature development. This will entail driving the client's product development process (PDP) from product inception through to general availability (GA). An essential requirement of the PDP process is to justify R&D investment and accurately forecast total addressable market for each product variant.

You will participate with other senior managers to establish corporate strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of operation's objectives. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions normally involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading other senior level managers. Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company having overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods, and employees. Manages all direct reports and is responsible for all performance of employees in their department.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for all projects that are being managed by their staff, including schedule attainment, customer satisfaction and budget attainment. Responsible for understanding, assessing and raising all issues that impact any of the above, in a timely manner to the department VP.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for overall product development efforts within a department that will provide significant impact on the client's business and technology focus. Applies technical expertise, leadership and mentorship to help shape the project's focus and direction.

2. You'll develop and implement long-term and short-term strategic engineering plans and objectives.

3. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable employment laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
4. Effectively interacts with cross-functional senior level functional management to help ensure optimal utilization of resources and capability.

5. You'll drive project teams within organization by demonstrating the following:

6. Visit customers as needed to resolve issues and to present ideas, concepts and solutions.

7. Identify opportunities and take action to build strategic relationships across functional teams and vendors/customers.

8. You'll plan and support the development of subordinate Project Engineers knowledge, skills, and abilities.

9. Resolve internal conflicts and manage cross-functional teams to problem resolution to produce on-time delivery of results.

Education requisites:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical).

Requisite professional tenure:
Twelve years wireless/telecom experience subsequent to beginning of professional career
Minimum eight years of supervisory or director experience in career.

Up to $200K+ package that includes performance bonus and incentives
